8 Useful Products That Are Actually Guaranteed To Last

Amazon Products with lifetime warranties

While getting a good deal on something you buy can be great in the short term, it has the potential to lead to headaches down the road. Cheap products aren’t only cheap in price—they can be cheap in quality too! A cheap product is hardly ever built to last, and you’ll likely end up replacing it within a couple of years.

But there are plenty of high quality products out there too, and one of the best indicators of quality is a lifetime guarantee. It means the manufacturer is confident enough in the quality and construction of the product that they are willing to replace it for you if it breaks or fails. Products with lifetime warranties may cost a little bit more upfront, but making that investment now can save you money down the road.

Today I’ll be sharing 8 products available on Amazon that offer lifetime warranties or guarantees. I chose a variety of useful products with good customer reviews, and I know you’ll find them as useful as I did.

(And speaking of helpful, if you have a favorite product that is guaranteed for life that isn’t on this list, I’d love to hear about it! Share a bit about your favorite guaranteed products in a comment at the bottom of this blog post.)

8 Amazon Products With Lifetime Warranties

1. GreenLunch Stainless Steel Bento Lunch Box

Price: $29.89

This handy bento-style lunch box is perfect for packing up an organized lunch. It has 3 different compartments for food: two 3-cup trays and one ¾-cup tray. The nesting design keeps the compartments in place, and the locking lid keeps it all together. See it on Amazon here.

2. Darn Tough Socks

Price: $15-25

These socks are a favorite among hikers and backpackers for their durability and lifetime warranties. I’ve even heard of people who have replaced their entire sock collection with Darn Tough socks! They’re sure to keep your feet warm, dry, and blister-free, whether you’re out on the trail or hanging out at home. See them on Amazon here.

Dog collar

3. Soft Touch Dog Collars

ctric Lint Remover

5. Lalint Electric Lint Remover

Price: $24.98

Sweater fuzz and pills getting you down? You can get your sweater looking good as new with an electric clothes shaver like this one, which has a rechargeable battery and a swiveling handle that makes it easy to use. People swear by this fuzz remover, saying that it saved many of their sweaters that they thought were beyond saving. See it on Amazon here.

6. Genteele Sherpa Throw Blanket

Price: $15-50

One can never have too many soft, cozy blankets, in my opinion. This blanket has two snuggly sides to enjoy, one a velvety micro mink, and the other a fluffy wool-like material that closely mimics sheepskin. This blanket is sure to make your next nap a truly blissful experience! See it on Amazon here.

BAGAIL Umbrellas

7. BAGAIL Umbrellas

Price: $19-23

It may seem strange to seek out a lifetime warranty for an umbrella, but it could certainly come in handy! This one has vents to prevent the wind from ripping it out of your hands, and the material is both waterproof and sun-proof. It’s made of sturdy fiberglass, which allows it to flex without crumpling like other umbrellas. If you use umbrellas often to block the rain or sun, this one could be a great investment! See it on Amazon here.

8. Anker Powerline II Charging Cable for iPhone

Price: $12-20

Phone charging cables can be a real pain in the neck! If you’re ready to upgrade to a more durable charging cable, check out this one from Anker. There’s a 3′ option that can minimize cord tangling issues, but they also offer a 6’ option if you need some extra length. With these Anker cables, you’ll never have to worry about replacing another failed cord.

  1. When I started college in 1989 I bought a Jansport backpack with the suede bottom. I paid $60 for it way back then. It’s been washed in the washing machine dozens of times & still looks just as good as when I bought it. It’s the only brand we bought the kids. JCPenney always put them on a good clearance sale after the back to school rush, so we’d buy them for the kids then. There was never anything wrong with the ones they were replacing they just wanted to change colors or patterns.

  2. I love Lands’ End backpacks and lunch boxes! With my two older boys, we used to go to the office supply store or the big box superstore and get a new backpack every year just before school started. Even though we were paying $20-$30, we would be lucky if they lasted through the school year. With my youngest, we got him a Lands’ End backpack and matching lunch box when he started Kindergarten. Even with sale pricing, I think I paid in the neighborhood of $50 for both. Our school district has kids divided up K-3, 4-6, and 7-8 before high school. Next summer, my son will pick out the third backpack he has ever had to go to Junior High. We do “new school/new backpack,” and the old backpack goes in with our luggage (makes a handy overnight bag for sleepovers, etc.). I love Lands’ End!

  4. Darn Tough socks are awesome!! My husband recently sent in eight pairs of socks (Darn Tough) that had holes in them and they sent him eight new pairs. We wear them summer and winter in our work boots. They make such a difference in the health of your feet.

  5. The phone charging cord sounds great, but I haven’t had to many cords fail or break. My problem is my cat!! She is a chewer. She chews thru cords like crazy. I have to hide the cords under my pillows to charge my phone. I hang my purse at the end of my bed. You should see the frayed handles. I’m going to give your suggested cord a try and hope for the best. I live with my daughter and grandchildren. We have all been victims of the cord chewing cat!!

  7. Great discussion on the nine products to have that will last. I have a two backpacks that I enjoy carrying. I bought one earlier this year with RFID protection to carry on our long vacation and flights this year for saftety, I also have a lint remover and love blankets. I have a very old picnic basket that we keep old pictures in, so we know right where the pictures are. However, I have always wanted one to carry on vacations, because my husband and I always picnic on vacations. Thanks for the product information.

  8. The Tupperware guarantee is only good while they still make the item. I had a lot of Tupperware from many years ago that they no longer make and cannot be replaced. A few years ago, I had a small cracked lid that I tried to get replaced and was told I had to pay a fee plus shipping charge. It wasn’t worth it. So be careful with those lifetime guarantees, check for hidden fees.

  9. LL Bean also has a lifetime warranty on backpacks (look for them when they go on sale!). My son is in 5th grade and is carrying the one that he started kindergarten with….it still looks and works great! I wash it in the washing machine and let it air dry at the end of each school year. My daughter’s (bought in 5th grade) had a broken zipper 2 years later. When I called LL Bean, they just asked me to pick out the new one that I wanted online and it was shipped to us for free. She is still using that one now in 10th grade. Great quality and they really keep their guarantee. I don’t think the lunchboxes have the same guarantee but they are reasonably priced and we have had the same ones last through 3 school years of daily packed lunches with our kids.

  10. Jansport backpacks have a lifetime warranty. I’m 39 and I still have the canvas with suede bottom style I had in the 90’s. I’ve thrown it in the washer, used it while backpacking, used it all throughout college. The thing just won’t die.

    • Love Jansport. Those were the big thing when I was in high school back in the 80s.

  11. Lands End has a lifetime guarantee on all of their products. Last year I sent back my daughter’s backpack as the zipper had broken. She had taken it to her first day of school. When we sent it back, she was eleven. They sent me a gift card to pick out a new one. My husband buys all of his khakis from them because he can send them back if they rip or get frayed.

  12. Tupperware is another product that has a graet guarantee.
Most products are guaranteed but only if used properly rhe way they are meant to be used. For example a non microwaveable bowl voids the guarantee if you put it in the microwave and ir warps etc.

    Jusr my opinion.

    • Yes, Tupperware has a great warranty, have had numerous items replaced no questions asked. Had a couple lids that cracked from years of use and they had been discontinued and I couldn’t get them replaced but I had certainly got my monies worth out of them so I can not complain. I recommend Tupperware any day but like you said you NEVER put it or any other plastic in the microwave to cook in.

  13. Great ideas. I wish you would do a column like this for products at stores.

    • I buy lifetime warranty socks at Bass Pro Shops, $15 in Canada and since they have logo sewn into socks you just bring them in when worn out and get a new pair. Very thick and arm socks for winter hiking and outdoor activities.

  14. Now, if you could find durable sheer pantyhose….
I bought some at Primark, I swear that in my entire life I have never bought pantyhose so bad! They last one day, no more, and even that is not a given. But even when I buy more expensive, better quality ones, they never last very long.
